Key Responsibilities- Data Ingestion and Processing
Responsible for the ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) procedures of current and historical data from multiple internal and external data sources, including:
- Extracting data from various data sources through available data vendors.
- Transforming data to reconcile changes in file formats and schemas over time or across multiple data sources.
- Aligning data at various temporal resolutions, such as aggregation or disaggregation at various levels in time.
- Storing files in a structured way for future reference and developing a data schema.
- Depositing data to a database for convenient querying and analysis.
Maintaining automatic pipelines to ingest data continuously, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
Data Quality and GovernanceEnsuring data quality and integrity through data cleaning and validation, providing quick research turnaround and supporting data retrieval APIs.
Requirements- Technical Skills
Fluent in Python and related data processing packages, such as pandas.
Database and Cloud ExperienceFamiliar with database technologies, SQL, data warehouses, and related concepts, with experience in deploying cloud resources that support data engineering and ML Ops pipelines.
Cloud-Based Data TechnologiesExperience with various cloud-based data technologies, including Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Explorer (ADX).
API DevelopmentExperience in developing APIs in front of various data technologies.
Desired Qualifications- Front-End Development
Fluent in front-end development and deployment of single-page applications in one or more JavaScript frameworks.
Database ExperienceExperience with relational databases, such as Azure SQL and Oracle, as well as NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB and Cosmos DB.
CertificationsExam AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification.
Language Skills- English
