We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our financial operations in Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, performing financial analysis, coordinating local budgeting and forecasting processes, and overseeing internal and external activities related to record-keeping and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination, preparation, and analysis of annual budgets and quarterly estimates.
  • Oversee the month-end close process by reviewing business results and providing analysis of net working capital elements, including WIP, inventory, AR, and AP.
  • Ensure the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting using OneStream/Hyperion and validate the quality of underlying data prepared by the Financial Shared Service Center.
  • Ensure clear data structures in our ERP system (Oracle) to enable maximum transparency to cost and P/L ownership in a global matrix setup.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual local external audits.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support as required, including the preparation of financial models to support business cases.
  • Administer and ensure compliance with corporate policies, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
  • Partner with outsourced shared service centers to address periodic issues and work to improve operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • BS/Accounting/BSc/MBA or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a controller.
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and with global colleagues, especially remote support teams, is a must.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong organization and communication skills.
  • Experience from engineering/manufacturing companies is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative decision-making environment.
  • Oracle and/or Hyperion experience are a huge plus.
