This position is responsible for overseeing the preventive maintenance program for the General Telecommunication Network and AEI's, ensuring all repairs of failures or temporary interruptions are made in a timely and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement new technology projects, coordinating resource supply and contractor performance to maintain efficient operations.
- Operational Excellence: Demonstrate operational excellence by applying business requirements, demonstrating customer focus, and contingency planning to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Team Leadership: Develop and retain a strong team of high performers, create a challenging and rewarding work environment, and organize a diverse group of people into a cohesive team to leverage their energy, knowledge, and skills.
- Accountability and Feedback: Hold people accountable for accomplishing objectives, recognize and reward people who achieve results, and provide pinpointed feedback on performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Identify when a rule, regulation, or policy has been violated and have one-on-one accountability conversations with individuals who have not met expectations.
- Communication and Teamwork: Define and communicate clearly the team's roles and responsibilities, and exemplify CPKC's Vision, Values, and Culture in interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced Knowledge: Three years of advanced knowledge in electricity and electronics.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience with CPKC.
Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24 hours a day/7 days a week, working various shifts as assigned.
