Overview

Symrise is a leading global supplier of active beauty and flavor ingredients, headquartered in Germany.

We are seeking a highly motivated Sensory Insights Specialist to join our team in LATAM Region. This role will be responsible for generating sensory and consumer insights that support the development of innovative products and services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with experience in sensory and consumer research to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Sensory Manager and Specialist to achieve project objectives, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the administration and management of our sensory laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and report sensory descriptive, discriminative, and consumer tests to achieve project objectives.
  • Work closely with the Sensory Manager and Specialist to ensure the correct testing methods are followed and best practices are maintained.
  • Administer and update the Symscript collection to ensure all materials are available for panel training and tests.
  • Ensure the quality of sensory information generated by sensory panels through trainings and performance assessment programs.
  • Contribute to knowledge exchange and networking within the Regional and Local SCI teams.
  • Execute day-to-day activities under sustainability and safety guidelines and objectives.
  • Register and update sensory tests and consumer research in PACE/CX, SharePoint, and SCI tests database.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in sensory and consumer areas working in the food industry with solid understanding of the area.
  • Food Chemist Degree.
  • Advanced English level (written and spoken), ease of sharing and expressing ideas and making presentations in this language.
  • Technical knowledge: Sensory methodologies and programs (Fizz, Compusense or Eye Question), consumer research methods, and data analysis (XLStat, mini tab, etc.). MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Skills: Communication, analytical capacity, work team, proactivity, interpersonal relations, deliver on time.
