POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Director oversees and coordinates the Human Resource management functions within the organization, aiming to optimize the strategic utilization of human capital while ensuring compliance with employment regulations and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage compensation, benefits, and performance evaluation systems, along with labor and employee relations, safety, and wellness initiatives.

2. Facilitate the recruitment process, including interviewing and selecting candidates for various positions.

3. Advise management on organizational policies regarding equal employment opportunities and workplace conduct, recommending necessary adjustments.

4. Evaluate and adjust compensation and benefits strategies to create competitive offerings and ensure adherence to legal standards.

5. Conduct orientation for new hires to promote a positive outlook towards the organization's goals.

6. Serve as a liaison between management and staff by addressing inquiries, interpreting contracts, and assisting in resolving workplace issues.

7. Develop and implement Human Resources policies and processes, including performance management systems.

8. Analyze data and reports to identify personnel challenges and propose enhancements to the organization's HR policies and practices.

9. Conduct exit interviews to understand the reasons behind employee departures.

10. Negotiate labor agreements and assist in the interpretation of collective bargaining contracts.

11. Prepare workforce forecasts to anticipate staffing needs.

12. Manage budgets related to Human Resources operations.

13. Stay informed on legislation, arbitration outcomes, and collective bargaining agreements to assess industry trends.

14. Initiate and manage special projects in areas such as pay equity, employee recognition programs, and benefits offerings.

15. Collaborate with external vendors to provide employee services, including food, transportation, and relocation assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of personnel administration principles and practices.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Bilingual capabilities are advantageous.
  • Proficient in supervisory techniques.
  • Exceptional verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Exhibit integrity and ethical behavior in all dealings.
  • Strong public relations skills and effective public speaking abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and counseling capabilities.
