**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Te Connectivity. As a key member of our product engineering team, you will be responsible for collaborating with global product engineering teams, manufacturing resources, and quality resources to achieve technical, quality, cost, and delivery goals.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product design and manufacturing processes

• Interface with product, manufacturing, and quality engineers to ensure timely introduction of new and sustaining products to the production floor

• Support the development of technical documentation for product engineering and manufacturing

• Participate in the engineering change process by interacting with various functional teams to ensure engineering changes are clearly understood and properly executed

• Support manufacturing and quality on processing issues related to product design/requirements

• Develop and maintain product engineering documentation, including work instructions and technical specifications

• Provide product engineering support during the product quote phase, including identifying tooling and verifying testing capabilities

• Support product engineering in responding to customer issues and complaints

• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve material, manufacturing, and electrical problems

• Work with project management to ensure product engineering commitments are met

• Identify opportunities for value-added engineering (VAVE) and technical engineering business improvement (TEBIT) for new and sustaining products

**Requirements**

• Bachelor's degree in engineering

• 5+ years of relevant experience in product development and engineering

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

• Demonstrated hands-on manufacturing skills for cable assemblies

• Experience using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Creo

• Experience using industry workmanship standards, such as IPC-620

• Experience using industry soldering standards, such as J-STD-001

• Experience using SAP for checking routings, MBOMs, orders, etc.

• Experience using Microsoft Office
