About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager II to join our team at Umpqua Bank. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for managing banking products, services, and delivery channels from conceptual stages through research, development, marketing, training, sales programs, performance tracking, and the product life cycle in support of the Bank's strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the portfolio of assigned products and research and develop new products for the product line.
  • Evaluate and enhance actively sold and serviced products, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancements, tracking profitability, and managing changes to assigned products.
  • Utilize customer feedback, customer and industry surveys, associate input, and analysis of competitor products and services to inform product development decisions.
  • Maintain awareness of new trends and developments of banking products and services in the market by conducting competitive analysis, market assessments, and researching feasibility of new products and delivery channels.
  • Assist with assessing and reporting on the effectiveness, revenue generation, market penetration, and profitability of new and existing products and services.
  • Measure and track the financial performance volume against established goals.
  • Assist with creating business plans, business requirements, and developing technical specifications for new products and services.
  • Lead projects, including developing project plans, presentations, development of training material, communications, and other information related to product launch.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and apply to designated job responsibilities.
  • Follow all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and complete all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learn, demonstrate, and foster the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.
  • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, MIS, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant data analyst and/or product development, management, and/or operations experience.
  • Advanced ability to analyze assigned product line and industry trends to optimize products to drive performance, penetration, and pricing.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Bank's products and services, the infrastructural components that impact assigned products and services, bank policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and project management skills.
  • Ability to train and present to small and large audiences.
  • Advanced ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company and with vendor partners to achieve positive customer experience and timely problem resolution.
  • Advanced marketing and product development concepts and practices, product lines and potential applications, and customer requirements.
  • Advanced Regulatory and Compliance knowledge.
