Role Summary


At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we're committed to advancing research and solving complex scientific challenges. As a Medical Science Specialist, you'll play a vital role in providing medical information services to our customers, patients, and healthcare providers.



Responsibilities



  • Respond to technical and medical information inquiries via phone, email, or mail in reference to pharmaceutical or device products.
  • Analyze caller's questions to formulate an accurate and concise response using client-approved resources.
  • Process fulfillments and provide clinical trial information or after-hours support as needed.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of project and corporate policies and procedures, including client products, SOPs, protocols, GCPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with internal and external client contacts to resolve complex inquiries.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree, health care, or life science degree accepted.
  • Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 2 years).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in a second language as required.
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, with good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as part of a team.

  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.
  • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
