As a Cost Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of our organization by conducting thorough cost analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor annual budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis on various aspects of the business, including production costs, overhead expenses, and inventory valuation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor annual budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the valuation and control of inventory, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and other relevant departments to gather data and insights for accurate cost analysis.
  • Support the month end and year end close process by performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries.
  • Monitor financial trends and key performance indicators to identify opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Cost Accountant with at least 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
