Job Description

AutoZone is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to lead our IT team as an IT Director. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage partnerships with AutoZone HQ US and network with IT/business partners to maximize business goals
  • Lead in-depth analysis to provide insight into capital, technology, processes, and personnel investments needed to achieve business objectives
  • Effectively interact with IT and business management to resolve operating, technical, and coordination of problems that may impact project delivery, system effectiveness, or general IT operations
  • Participate as a member of the IT management team in functional activities such as planning, budgeting, special projects, and other initiatives that span the organization
  • Participate as a member of the AutoZone Shared Services leadership team in activities pertaining to the 1000+ person organization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, Master's degree preferred
  • Fifteen to twenty years' experience, with consistently demonstrated and increasing capabilities, with at least five years of deep technical experience/five years as Manager/Lead of multiple cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading and guiding cross-functional delivery teams in multiple areas: software development, software quality engineering, support, IT operations, IT infrastructure, and IT Security
  • Effective in setting direction, addressing competing priorities, and managing change
  • Customer-centric approach to solving challenges with the ability to develop and execute a technical vision with a focus on business value
  • Experience influencing others, advocating for technical excellence while being open to change when needed
  • Resilient, comfortable in ambiguous situations with the ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectives
  • Strong team player who supports their team in all regards and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team's work
  • Cultivate an environment where all employees respect and adhere to AutoZone company standards of integrity and ethics
