Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commodity Procurement Specialist to join our team at Forvia. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and managing our supplier panel for a specific commodity segment, selecting suppliers based on our group's criteria, and driving continuous improvement in Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Commodity Strategy: Define and lead activities aligned to our commodity strategy, ensuring optimal purchasing budget and forecast management.
- Supplier Management: Monitor supplier QCD performance, challenge suppliers when falling short of targets, and facilitate continuous improvement activities to support Value-Added/Value Engineering (VA/VE) savings opportunities.
- Cost Optimization: Pursue economical costs for goods/services required, obtain long-term agreement savings opportunities, and conduct management meetings to review and improve supplier performance.
- Savings Identification and Reporting: Identify savings, update forecast files, and follow through to completion, taking ownership and responsibility for actions under the buyer's lead activity.
- Charge Back and Debit Management: Validate costs via QSS database for poor quality and delivery performance, follow supplier debits from forecast to debit memo to receipt of cash, and calculate retroactive debits/credits for late-identified savings.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
