As a key member of the Iqvia Argentina team, the Safety Operations Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Safety staff responsible for Safety Operations processing in alignment with departmental and corporate standards. The successful candidate will contribute to Global initiatives and work in close collaboration with Senior Management and other relevant stakeholders to achieve local and global deliverables and metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations specialist managers to ensure seamless execution of Safety Operations.
- Work with Safety Management to achieve project and customer deliverables in a matrix framework.
- Hold regular meetings with direct reports to discuss project status, timelines, delivery updates, financial aspects, and potential risks.
- Develop and implement plans for measuring and improving employee engagement, ensuring global consistency.
- Collaborate with project leads to address work scheduling, staffing needs, technological needs, and projected peak workloads.
- Efficiently convey messages from leadership to direct reports and teams, and effectively communicate issues and opportunities up to leadership.
- Serve as the designated substitute or ensure coverage is in place for direct reports during their absence or in case of turnover.
- Attend and participate in Bid Defenses, Kick off Meetings, as applicable, and support Request for Information, Request for Pricing, and budgets as requested.
- Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, as required, and ensure required staff is assigned, trained, and prepared to support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Scientific or healthcare discipline or allied life sciences.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field and up to 7 years of relevant experience, inclusive of up to 4 years of PV experience and up to 3 years of Line management experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Safety service lines.
- Willingness to increase knowledge across Safety service lines and develop new skills.
- Flexibility to operate in shifts.
- Proven staff management skills, strong leadership, motivational, and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational skills, metrics calculations, and time management skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Effective mentoring and developed coaching skills.
- Ability to achieve results through proactive communication and facilitation in a matrix service delivery environment with shared accountabilities.
- Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
