This Site Security Manager role is a critical part of our security team, responsible for supervising security personnel at a Micron site. You will oversee local security programs aimed at reducing risk to Micron personnel and assets, including access control, loss prevention, workplace violence prevention, intelligence gathering, threat analysis, countermeasure deployment, alarm systems, and closed-circuit television applications. As the principal security resource, you will lead and monitor the performance of security officers on duty and activate additional support resources as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and administer physical security operations for the site, ensuring compliance with company directives, guidelines, and applicable laws.
  • Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies, communicating requirements to applicable team members.
  • Oversee the execution of mandatory training for direct reports and identify potential safety, security, and labor issues, resolving them or reporting as necessary.
  • Conduct monitoring using installed surveillance systems and participate in the development of global security policies.
  • Conduct annual physical security risk assessments and consult with the Regional Security Manager on investigations as needed.
  • Maintain security systems and equipment to ensure operational resilience and proper reporting of malfunctions for prompt repair or replacement.
  • Administer general and emergency communication systems, including management of the Security Control Room and Lobby operations.
  • Monitor the performance of site security personnel, ensuring adherence to duty posts and relief schedules, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure that security personnel adhere to security post orders and contract expectations, monitoring performance using key performance indicators.
  • Implement and maintain a security personnel training program, managing team member performance, and providing communication regarding job expectations and changes.
  • Coach and provide career development opportunities, establish goals, and monitor performance achievement, conducting performance appraisals and collecting feedback for continual development.
  • Manage employee performance, resolve conflicts, and oversee functional area service delivery, providing consultation on work execution and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate and communicate policy and procedures, monitor adherence, and provide feedback, ensuring team members are properly trained according to department compliance and work requirements.
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements, develop, monitor, and report performance metrics, and promote internal and external collaboration and project support.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience with a Mexican law enforcement agency, maintaining a good working relationship and close communication with Mexican law enforcement agencies.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with local and international team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, supervise, and lead others, solve problems, and work under schedule.
  • Highly ethical, with the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of physical security systems, particularly Lenel and ExacqVision experience.
  • Professional certification in a security-related field, such as ASIS, SIA, or ESA.
  • Knowledge or association with security-related consultants, vendors, and professional organizations.
