Job Description:
The Technical Operations Specialist at AutoZone is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of hardware, software, and/or network systems. This includes teaching domain expertise, providing technical guidance and mentoring, resolving problems, and training as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all roles of the systems development life cycle.
- Develop and maintain software applications, debug code, test (QA/QE), write documentation, roll out software, provide production support, gather requirements, and develop formal program specifications.
- Define code specifications and construct systems, conduct official code reviews.
- Update job knowledge by studying development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and learning AutoZone's culture, methodology, architecture, and software.
- Mentor and teach less experienced AutoZoners, plan work accurately, track projects and time accurately.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- More than five years of experience.
- Expert proficiency with AutoZone's software, architecture, and methodology.
- Technical skills: operative systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows), web services development through Java and Spring Framework, databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Informix, DB2).
- Advanced problem-solving, domain technical, and analytical skills.
