About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Quality Assurance Specialist with a focus on web application testing to join our software development team at Carrier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or Quality Assurance Engineer with a focus on web application testing, including hands-on experience with Selenium for automated testing and JMeter for performance testing.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications using Selenium for automated testing.
- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing using tools such as Selenium and JMeter to identify defects and ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Quickly gain an understanding of business and domain-specific requirements to craft test cases that ensure full test coverage.
- Perform manual testing when necessary and leverage automation tools to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Identify, report, and track defects using bug tracking systems such as Jira.
- Analyze test results and provide meaningful insights to improve product quality and user experience.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements:
- We are looking for people who are analytical, problem solvers, and have good communication skills.
- As a minimum, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in web application testing.
- Expertise in Selenium and JMeter.
