Job Summary

As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing designs from our graphics team for multiple Shopify e-commerce websites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of e-commerce projects and promotions to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and customize Shopify themes to create visually appealing and user-friendly e-commerce websites.
  2. Implement custom functionalities using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  3. Collaborate with designers to translate visual mockups into functional Shopify themes.
  4. Integrate and configure third-party applications, plugins, and APIs to enhance website capabilities.
  5. Optimize website performance, including page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO.
  6. Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on website operations.
  7. Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, updates, and best practices to recommend improvements and implement new functionalities.
  8. Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver projects within established timelines and quality standards.
  9. Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards to ensure clean, efficient, and reusable code.
  10. Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders during project implementation and post-launch.

Requirements

  1. Excellent English communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  2. Full proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of web development principles.
  3. Full-stack experience preferred. Familiarity with Shopify's platform features, including product management, checkout process, and order fulfillment.
  4. Headless experience is preferred.
  5. Experience integrating and configuring third-party applications and APIs, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing tools.
  6. Knowledge of responsive web design principles and mobile optimization techniques.
  7. Proficient in version control systems, such as Git, for managing code repositories.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug technical issues.
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  10. Continuously update skills and stay current with industry trends and advancements in Shopify development.
  11. Minimum 40 WPM typing speed.

Benefits

  1. Annual Salary Mexico: MXN675,000 to 775,000 depending on experience
  2. Full-Time
  3. Schedule Monday- Thursday 7:30am-5pm Friday 8am-12p (Pacific Timezone)
