About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team at Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. in Mexico City. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial reporting, internal control, and business growth initiatives for our LATAM Stores Accounting organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the LATAM Stores Accounting team in overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting functions.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and influence the design of systems, processes, and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and write technical memos to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience with accounting closing processes, including preparing and reviewing reconciliations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in accounting or auditing, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a big four accounting firm or a similar environment.
  • Local CPA certification.
