Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Carrier. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for handling end-to-end routine payroll duties for salaried and hourly personnel across all locations in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports daily operations and develops procedures to provide quality and efficient payroll operations.
  • Analyzes and supports the regular disbursement of payroll, processing of all pay data, maintenance of payroll records and internal control activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion of payroll activities.
  • Supports preparation of regular reports for weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Researches payroll issues, provides analysis and makes recommendations to management.
  • Reviews and manages policies and procedures surrounding payroll processes to ensure conformance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Responds to low to medium complexity questions from employees and supervisors to provide clarity on payroll related issues.
  • Manages small-scale payroll projects.

Requirements

  • Proficient in English (writing and reading).
  • 3 years of related experience in a payroll position within a national organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role.
  • University education in a related discipline (office administration, basic accounting, payroll).
  • Knowledge of SAP-based GlobalView (ADP) payroll system.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and human resources administration practices and procedures.
  • Good human relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and task prioritization skills.
