Job Summary

The Project Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of all aspects of a project, specifically focused on John Zink products, through all phases of the project, including project completion. This involves daily interactions with various stakeholders, including KES Engineering, clients, project managers, operations, and suppliers, to ensure that projects are prepared, executed, and completed in accordance with project documents and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and become knowledgeable on the currently executed project scopes of work, project specifications, material types, and special process requirements.
  • Develop Project Quality Plans and ensure their implementation.
  • Review WPS, Welding Procedure Specifications, and PQR Procedure Qualification records from suppliers and fabrication plans.
  • Develop Project-specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and coordinate third-party agencies for quality inspections.
  • Lead and coordinate Pre-inspection meetings with suppliers and internal teams to clarify gaps and questions.
  • Review and approve procedures, written practices, NDE Certifications for NDE contractors, and manage document control related to specs, procedures, AML, and project fabrication documents.
  • Attend project meetings and review returned project package documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform audits as needed and work with the Supplier Quality team to ensure a smooth execution.
  • Assist with vetting of subcontractors and review and approve procedures for NDE contractors.
  • Manage nonconformance reports, root cause analysis, and punchlists as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Mechanical, Materials Engineering, Electrical, or Electronic).
  • Experience working in a Quality-related position, metal mechanic fabrication companies, EPC companies, and/or Quality Management.
  • Current CWI Certification and ANST-TC-1A Level II VT/MT/PT certification.
  • NACE certification is a plus, and ASME code knowledge and experience are required.
  • Open to 25% travel.
