Project Manager Senior Leader

As a Project Manager I at Wesco International, Inc., you will oversee all aspects of a project to ensure timely completion and budget adherence. You will manage scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, and outside vendors in a support role closely managed by senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project development from initiation to completion, assisting senior management in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and associated communications documents, ensuring effective project coordination and stakeholder management.
  • Estimate resources and personnel required to achieve project goals, identifying areas for process improvements and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, recommending subsequent budget changes as needed.
  • Negotiate with other department managers for personnel acquisition and make staffing adjustments during the project cycle.
  • Set and manage project expectations with team members, resolving issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent experience required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Required 2 years of experience in directing work in a project management capacity, including process development and execution; 4 years' experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Proven ability to manage processes to achieve objectives and build effective business relationships with other functional areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and product, with ability to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with good computer skills.
