About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Selina. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and correct in-room heating, ventilation, and air conditioning malfunctions
- Perform general knowledge of procedures for repairing and/or replacing all types of plumbing equipment
- Make systematic checks on all room electrical appliances, circuits, and repair most in-room defaults
- Handle all in-house repairs, including removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc.
- Utilize basic hand and power tools required for general maintenance
- Complete preventative maintenance checklists and other maintenance records according to the Operation Manager's request
- Maintain tools, workspaces, equipment, property exterior, and grounds to ensure cleanliness
- Familiarize yourself with all major shut-off stations, including water and electric, with fire alarm stations
- Maintain security for guests and property by ensuring that room doors are locked at all times, keys are controlled, lost and found articles are properly logged and securely stored, and report suspicious activity by guest or others and observe all security and safety regulations
- Hold a regular weekly meeting with the Operation Manager
- Show up to work 10 minutes before the shift
- Show up to work in perfect hygienic and neatness conditions
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to employees at all times
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times

Physical Requirements
This role requires sitting, standing, walking, using hands, objects, tools, controls, lifting bags or boxes, talking, hearing, vision abilities, and up to 15 pounds of heavy lifting sometimes.
