The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Mexican payroll laws and regulations, including tax compliance and labor legislation. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of the payroll process for multiple clients across various states in Mexico
- Ensure accurate processing and recording of client data, including taxes and benefits
- Prepare and process journal entries, verify data, and manage payroll calendars
- Lead day-to-day activities as an expert for various clients of Local Market
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes and procedures
- Manage and maintain payroll calendars, participate in special projects, and perform administrative duties as needed
- Represent the company's best interest at all times
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll, preferably with knowledge of Mexican payroll laws and regulations
- Strong understanding of Mexico taxes, including IMSS, ISN, and ISR
- Ability to analyze tax issues, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as knowledge of tax software and authorities' portals
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to achieve preset goals with good planning and prioritizing skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to operate in a structured and organized way
