We are seeking an experienced developer to join our Observability team at Canonical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing a cloud-native monitoring stack that composes best-in-class open-source monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop a scalable and resilient monitoring stack that provides deep insights into our cloud-native applications.
- Collaborate with our globally distributed team to ensure seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
- Write high-quality code to create new features and debug issues in our monitoring stack.
- Review code produced by other engineers and contribute to open-source codebases.
- Represent Canonical at conferences and events to showcase our Charmed Observability Stack.
- Proven experience in Python and/or Go development.
- Strong working knowledge of modern monitoring technologies like Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki, Mimir, etc.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
- Ability to work in a remote-first environment and collaborate with a globally distributed team.
- Passion for open-source software and a willingness to contribute to open-source codebases.
