Role Responsibilities

In the capacity of Senior Manager for Policy and Government Relations, you will spearhead the execution of our public policy strategy, focusing on safeguarding and advancing our interests within the regulatory landscape of Mexico.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with influential stakeholders across federal, state, and local government, as well as relevant NGOs and industry associations.
  • Proactively engaging with government representatives and industry groups on a weekly basis to align our objectives with public policy frameworks.
  • Implementing a comprehensive government relations strategy that supports our corporate reputation and business objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with senior leadership on matters related to political engagement and public affairs.
  • Coordinating with various departments, including Legal, Marketing, and Communications, to address issues that may affect our operations.
  • Leading industry coalitions to address legislative challenges impacting the food and beverage sector.
  • Overseeing government relations strategies with business partners to ensure a unified approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Defending our product categories against regulatory challenges while fostering productive relationships with government officials.
  • Driving initiatives that yield savings related to legislation and contribute to volume growth.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Government Relations or Affairs within a large multinational organization, with a proven track record in strategy development and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement across various sectors, including NGOs and business associations.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on public relations and strategic planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of government structures and public policy processes.
  • Familiarity with lobbying regulations at all levels of government.
  • Established relationships with community leaders and decision-makers.
  • Ability to provide a broad perspective on external factors affecting our business.
  • Exceptional project management skills and a collaborative mindset.
