Position Overview:
Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. - D44 is seeking talented Systems Engineers to join our Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) Central Services team. Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate activities for site Control Systems Engineers to meet the objectives of the North America Customer Fulfillment teams.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams, including FC Operations, Operations Engineering, and Safety, to enhance material handling systems and execute project implementations.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and understand material handling control systems, including programmable logic controllers and industrial networks.
  • Analyze MHE metrics and partner with maintenance and operations teams to address system performance challenges across all Amazon business units.
  • Serve as the primary escalation support for site Control Systems Engineers, providing troubleshooting assistance both locally and remotely.
  • Manage downtime situations by effectively escalating issues to vendors or headquarters to restore equipment functionality.
  • Mentor Control Systems Engineers and other technical staff within the facility.
  • Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes, implementing improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  • Utilize expertise in material handling and electronic systems to optimize building system utilization.
  • Conduct performance assessments of material handling systems and provide insightful analysis.
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership and equipment vendors to plan and oversee new technology installations, acting as a technical consultant for capital projects.
  • Leverage network support resources for guidance and provide assistance to colleagues as necessary.
  • Communicate technical challenges and project timelines effectively with building leadership and maintenance teams.
  • Assist in evaluating skills for technical positions within site maintenance teams.
  • Adapt to a flexible workload as directed by management or operations.
  • Be prepared for travel requirements of up to 70%.
