About the Role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Strategy and Business Development Lead to join our team. This role will be responsible for proactively managing both customer and Jabil business expectations through strategic supply chain design and business planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop situational analysis leading to strategy development around all supply chain disciplines (procurement, planning, logistics, design, etc.)
  • End-to-end accountability for BOM costing strategy and process applied to a particular customer
  • Build relationships that enable influence over customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders within Jabil
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to individuals contributing to strategy creation and implementation
  • Establish an appropriate planning process to support customer and Jabil revenue projections, inventory models, and supply chain flexibility programs
  • Develop and oversee product launch plans for new business and transition plans for products being moved between Jabil manufacturing sites
  • Create process and tools for communication of all supply chain reporting required by customers (E&O, OTD, Pricing, etc.)
  • Implement inventory programs that optimize working capital (hubbing, JIT, optimal manufacturing lot sizes, alternate transportation methodologies, etc.)
  • Cultivate regular communication with customers and collaborate with other functional areas within Jabil to ensure alignment on common goals
  • Develop and deploy a suitable quoting process that maximizes Jabil's chances of winning new business
  • Identify creative ways to reduce costs and develop a costing model supporting customers and Jabil's negotiation calendar
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and contracts allowing Jabil a competitive advantage in the market
  • Work with BD to negotiate customer terms not exposing Jabil based on quote model (pricing & inventory)
  • Collaborate with customer SCM and Design organizations to create alignment in supplier selection strategies
  • Understand regulatory compliance or local legislation impacting supply chain design for a particular customer
  • Establish clear and measurable goals and objectives determining individual and team results
  • Solicit ongoing performance feedback from individuals within Jabil to quantify performance trends
  • Clearly understand and articulate Jabil and customer strategic directions
  • Gain insight into business unit P&L and cause-and-effect of supply chain elements on balance sheet

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five years related experience in supply chain management or business development, preferably with additional certifications like ASQ, CQE, CQM, CQA, or ISO Lead Auditor
  • Global experience is highly desirable

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
