We seek exceptional talent for the role of Staff Quality Assurance Manager (SQAM) in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. This position is responsible for providing quality assurance leadership in managing Direct, Indirect Suppliers and/or External Manufacturers involved in producing Johnson and Johnson products.

As a Staff SQAM, you will lead the implementation of Source Quality Management (SQM) strategies and associated standards, policies, procedures, programs, systems, processes, and initiatives for Ethicon Supply Chain Suppliers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing timely business support for assigned Ethicon SQM functions globally
  • Leveraging supplier/purchasing controls and associated activities, including Approved Supplier List management
  • Participating in or leading supplier identification, selection, qualification, monitoring, and disengagement for SQM
  • Collaborating with suppliers and partners to ensure robust materials, products, processes, and systems
  • Partnering with Procurement, R&D, Engineering/Technical Operations, Quality, Operations, and Suppliers to investigate, resolve, and prevent supplier-related issues
  • Monitoring and analyzing supplier performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, communicating supplier risks, and driving resolution of supplier quality issues
  • Implementing supplier change management processes, including change notification, dissemination of information, impact assessment, approval of changes, and supporting material/supplier qualifications
  • Owning, driving, and leading assigned Supplier Quality related projects, activities, and initiatives
  • Utilizing Project Management methodologies to plan, organize, connect, shape, lead, and deliver results for SQM projects
  • Analyzing quality data and identifying trends impacting risk, benefits, requirements of product and quality systems for external suppliers
  • Collaborating with operations and franchise operations development on process/product improvement projects
  • Preparing Supplier Quality Agreements and driving discussion with suppliers while consulting Source Quality Manager
  • Leading periodic Source Quality Relationship Management (SQRM) meetings with assigned suppliers, including supplier quality performance reviews, investigation follow-ups, targeted improvement plans (TIP), closed-loop corrective actions, NC reductions, and supplier quality metrics
  • Taking proactive steps to identify internal customer requirements and translating those into potential improvements for components or supplier quality systems
  • Responding proactively to changing regulatory and business needs
