**Job Overview**

As a Dir-Loss Prevention Manager at Marriott International, Inc, you will be responsible for managing security/loss prevention operations on a daily basis.

**Responsibilities**

- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency procedures.

- Conduct investigations of all losses of property assets and refer to proper management for disposition.

- Deploy security staff to effectively monitor and protect property assets.

- Comply with all Corporate Loss Prevention safety and security management guidelines and procedures.

- Conduct periodic patrols of the entire property and parking areas.

- Recognize success across areas of responsibility.

- Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiate with others.

- Identify and make recommendations for minimizing physical hazards and unsafe work practices.

- Implement action plans to monitor and control risk.

- Maintain required reports and documentation regarding patrols of property and parking areas.

- Provide means for obtaining necessary medical attention on a timely basis.

**Leadership and Team Management**

- Lead and motivate a team of security/loss prevention officers.

- Attend pre- and post-convention and weekly forecast meetings to understand group needs and gather critical information.

- Communicate the importance of safety procedures and ensure employee understanding of safety codes.

- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

- Provide guidance and direction to subordinates and monitor their performance.

**Customer Service and Relations**

- Display leadership in guest hospitality and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.

- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.

- Meet quality standards and customer expectations on a daily basis.

- Incorporate guest safety and satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings.

**Human Resources and Compliance**

- Assist in minimizing the cost of accident claims through aggressive claims management.

- Complete proper documentation and reports all employee accident and general liability incidents.

- Conduct hourly employee performance appraisals according to Standard Operating Procedures.

- Administer property policies fairly and consistently.

- Maintain first aid and CPR certifications required for Loss Prevention officers.

- Handle guest problems and complaints.

- Identify the educational needs of others and develop formal educational or training programs.
