Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sommelier to join our team at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional bar experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bar Operations: Oversee the efficient preparation of drinks, setup and breakdown of the bar, and ensure that all bar-related aspects of the guest experience meet Rosewood standards.
  • Leadership and Training: Develop and train bartenders and barbacks to provide exceptional service and ensure that they are knowledgeable about our drink offerings.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all associates deliver exceptional guest service and handle guest complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Marketing and Sales: Evaluate local, national, and international market trends to ensure that our bar operations remain competitive and cutting-edge.
  • Human Resources: Oversee the punctuality and appearance of bar associates, develop their skills and abilities, and ensure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in bar operations or freestanding lifestyle restaurants, with a proven track record of success in leading bars and restaurants.
  • Skills: Proficient and fluent in Spanish and English, highly organized and proactive, with a passion for guest service and mixology.
  • Qualifications: Hotel management or business degree preferred.
