About the Role

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare balance sheets on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  2. Account Reconciliation: Review and reconcile each account in the balance sheet to identify any tracking issues or aging.
  3. Auditor Interaction: Collaborate with local auditors to ensure a smooth statutory audit process and prepare necessary information to resolve any issues.
  4. Tax Compliance: Provide monthly information required to present tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and indirect taxes.
  5. Payment Processing: Execute local payments, excluding taxes, payroll, phone, and miscellaneous expenses.
  6. Vendor Management: Review vendors' aging and support the SSC team in India to run weekly payment proposals.
  7. Team Management: Manage the SSC Team in India.
  8. Group Reporting: Ensure accurate monthly group reporting (BI Global Stock).
  9. Accounting and Costing: Ensure the creation of accounting and costing views for new materials to enable activation by MDM and usage in manufacturing or purchasing processes.
  10. Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls.
  11. Shareholder Equity: Ensure accurate monthly accounting and reconciliation of own/treasury shares.
  12. Equity Compensation: Work closely with the Equity compensation manager to ensure compliance with accounting standards and accurate reporting.
  13. Financial Reporting: Review and approve Cognos flows, cash flows, and MD&A for entities in scope.
  14. Fair Value Calculation: Responsible for the monthly fair value calculation of financial assets in scope.
  15. Partner Collaboration: Act as a point of contact for creation and execution of activities, supported by outsourced partners.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting (Graduate).
  2. Language Skills: Intermediate - high English (conversational).
  3. Experience: 3 years in similar positions (accounts receivable), knowledge of NC process, reconciliations of account statements with clients, collection disputes.
  4. Software: SAP.
  5. Soft Skills: Interpersonal relations (a lot of contact with sales team and distributors), service orientation, proactive, detail orientation, teamwork, negotiation skills.
