Risk Management Specialist Job Description
The Credit Risk Senior Analyst is a key role within the Risk Management team. This seasoned professional will apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows for the area or function. They will integrate subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area, requiring an in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.
This role requires the ability to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Strong analytical skills are required to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are also required, as the individual will regularly assume informal/formal leadership roles within teams and be involved in coaching and training of new recruits.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly Loss Forecasting aspects of the group.
- Liaise with the Finance, Collections & Risk Policy team with respect to Loss Forecasting.
- Oversee analysis of Forecasting in Citi Corp with respect to Forbearance performance and reporting, and Recoveries performance and reporting.
- Analyze fraud portfolio performance at a granular level.
- Develop detailed diagnostics on Fraud behavior, shifts in that behavior, assess its impact on portfolio performance, and support the forecasting process.
- Assist in the production of all presentations to the Citigroup CFO, Citi Cards CEO, Citi Cards Risk Head, Global Consumer Credit Risk Officer & Regulators, as well as various ad hoc requests.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years previous experience in Forecasting / Fraud / Risk Management
- Advanced quantitative and analytic skills required.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be able to write, read and speak English fluently.
Education
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
