SMT Process Optimization Engineer

The SMT Process Optimization Engineer is responsible for developing, reviewing, and optimizing SMT processes to improve productivity and efficiency for new and existing products. This role involves maintaining production line functionality, performance, and process completeness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong contact with suppliers.
  • Generate specifications of work for equipment.
  • Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows.
  • Optimize productivity by designing, implementing, testing, and debugging new equipment.
  • Assemble reports to document new process implementation.
  • Track metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades in actual and new equipment.
  • Communicate findings and proposals to upper management.
  • Assess compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, or Electronic.
  • Knowledge in ESD.
  • Knowledge in SMT equipment.
  • Knowledge in terminals insertion equipment.
  • Knowledge on the Reflow Oven process, troubleshooting, and cross-section interpretation.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic prints.
  • Skills in oral and written communication.
  • High sense of responsibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to persuade others to change existing practices.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems.
  • Proficient with computer and information technology.

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office.
