Bakery Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa in Mexico.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires the successful candidate to prepare breads and pastries, including preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production processes and be able to maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.

In addition, the Bakery Specialist will assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees, and serve as a role model for others.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Prepare breads and pastries according to recipes and quality standards
  
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
  
• Assist management with employee relations and training
  
• Safely use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances
  
• Familiarize yourself with the Production sheet to understand the variety of baked goods to be produced daily
  

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• 
  
• At least 2 years of related work experience
  
• A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
  
• No supervisory experience required
