Job Title: Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at All Hands And Hearts Smart Response, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operations team to deliver efficient and effective logistical support to our project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supportive leadership, management, and overall organizational planning to the general operations of the program.
  • Manage the Operations Team to deliver an efficient and effective program, including base operation, financial management, volunteer coordination and engagement, base logistics, etc.
  • Support the Program Director in developing and implementing training and skills development for staff and volunteers.
  • Support the Program Director in forecasting, monitoring, and reporting project cash flow, bank transactions, and expense auditing.
  • Work with the Logistics Coordinator to organize and manage transport and telecommunications for teams in the field.
  • Support the Program Director in the development, implementation, and review of the Health, Safety, and Security procedures for base and sites.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate communication, training, and rehearsal of contingency plans and organizing periodical risk assessments.
  • Support the Program Director in compiling program-specific fortnightly reports for the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working for All Hands and Hearts or another disaster response organization.
  • 1+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Experience in project management, including budget tracking, preferred.
  • Spanish and English language proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Constantly works in outdoor adverse weather conditions.
  • Frequently moves items weighing up to 40 lbs on the work site or on base.
  • Frequently operates construction equipment (table saws, impact drivers, drills, and more).
  • Frequently operates a computer.
  • Frequently ascends/descends ladders and scaffolding.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position.
  • Frequent travel.
  • Living in a communal environment.
  • High stress situations.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay rate is $1,250 - $1,650 USD/month, based on position, skills, and experience.
  • Room and board.
  • Monthly R&R breaks with allowance.
  • Coverage for emergency medical injury or illness.
  • Visa extension reimbursement.
  • Travel to and from program location.
  • Costs related to COVID-19 entry requirements.
