About the Role:

HITACHI ENERGY MEXICO, S.A. DE C.V. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our corporate functions, you will be responsible for functional cost reporting, planning, and analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and follow up with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Support the identification and implementation of improvements in the process area, driving efficiency and productivity gains.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile general ledger accounts for the income statement in all corporate product groups.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule for corporate functions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process, driving closing activities following accounting principles and reporting schedules.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Enforce HITACHI ENERGY Group Accounting standard, HITACHI ENERGY's Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, and local regulations.
  • Implement best practices and continuously optimize those best practices to gain efficiencies and drive productivity gains.
  • Maintain proper audit trail and documentation, ensuring SOPs are prepared and updated.
  • Prepare various financial analysis, including cost/benefit analysis and actual/budget deviations.
  • Participate in financial analysis, forecast, and budgeting process.
  • Validate accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliation and review of exceptions.
  • Provide information to management and functional leaders by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings and analysis.
  • Support the full deployment and implementation of new cloud-based tools to improve current analytical tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting or Business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience in analysis and interpretation of financial data.
  • Experience in preparing financial statement analysis presentations.
  • Experience in corporate controllership.
  • Experience with the SAP HANA system (FI-CO).
  • Fluent English Mandatory.
  • Knowledge of financial structures.

Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid mode, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
