Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Drafter to join our team at Johnson Controls. As an Electrical Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical and mechanical drawings for HVAC units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and draft electrical and mechanical components, including electrical harnesses, models, routing, and schematics.
  • Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs) and create 2D engineering drawings.
  • Develop 3D models and routing for electrical harnesses.
  • Design electrical and mechanical schematics, piping, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Lead Product Agile Design Reviews, Audits, and Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMEA).
  • Collaborate with Contract and Product Engineering teams to understand system interactions and constraints.
  • Develop root cause analysis, document, and solve design issues.
  • Develop and improve design guidelines and processes.
  • Verify design with simulation tools.

Requirements

  • Creo Parametric or similar experience.
  • PLM Windchill experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Electrical design knowledge.
  • Mechanical design knowledge.
  • Highly organized.
  • Soft skills.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Industrial Design, Automotive Design, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aeronautical, Electronic/Electrical Engineers.
