About the Role :
As a key member of the TD SYNNEX team, the Tax Supervisor will oversee and direct the workflow of the accounting staff to ensure timely achievement of objectives. This role will support both internal and external customers, providing guidance and training to ensure seamless operations.
The Tax Supervisor will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and procedures, and supervising critical accounting, finance, and reporting functions. This individual will provide guidance, motivation, and work scheduling for staff, supporting the Manager and Director as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with tax obligations, including verifying and communicating tax changes to companies and individuals.
- Attend to the requirements of the Tax Authority, stamp invoices, and process payment complements.
- Perform tax analysis and evaluate the tax impact of business decisions and transactions.
- Provide guidance and support to the accounting team in the preparation of financial records and tax-related documents.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Finance and Legal, to ensure sound and consistent tax management across the organization.
- Oversee obligations due during the year and respond to electronic invoicing.
- Communicate tax strategy to the Greater Toronto area and respond to requests from external auditors and tax authorities.
Requirements :
- Accounting or tax degree
- 5 years of experience in the invoicing area (Tax Supervisor)
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Office Suite proficiency
- PR management (Oracle, SAP)
