Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Ledger and Fixed Assets Accountant to join our Shared Services team in Monterrey, Mexico.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reconciling the financial accounts of the company, reviewing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and reconcile the financial accounts of the company
  • Review financial data and prepare financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Assist other departments within the accounting and finance areas
  • Perform GL and FA activities, including creating, calculating, and posting journal entries
  • Reconcile GL and FA accounts
  • Balance inter-company accounts
  • Analyze GL and FA accounts
  • Calculate FA depreciation
  • Reconcile CIP accounts
  • Perform FA capitalization process
  • Prepare month-end closings and trial balance submissions to headquarters
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages
  • Perform additional GL and FA projects as required
Requirements
  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in GL and FA
  • 80-90% bilingual English/Spanish
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive approach with a dedication to teamwork
  • Outstanding customer service and continuous improvement
  • Very good computer skills using MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP/QAD systems
  • MX and US GAAP knowledge
  • Strong experience in internal controls
