About the Role

We are seeking a Quant Systems Engineer to help us automate and operationalize a proprietary trading system within a professional asset management environment.

This is not a trader role.

This is not a discretionary position.

The role is 100% on-site and focused on engineering discipline, automation, and execution fidelity.

You will implement clearly defined rules exactly as specified, with no improvisation.

What You Will Do


• Implement rule-based trading logic in Python (no strategy design)


• Automate and maintain:


• signal detection (alerts first, execution later)


• trade logging and reporting


• performance and risk metrics


• Build and operate:


• paper trading systems


• execution safeguards (limits, kill-switches)


• audit logs and monitoring tools


• Translate precise written specifications into reliable, production-grade code


• Ensure system stability, correctness, documentation, and repeatability

• You will NOT trade manually


• You will NOT design or modify strategies


• You will NOT optimize rules unless explicitly instructed


• You will NOT make discretionary market decisions

This role is about execution accuracy and system robustness, not trading intuition.

Required Skills

Must Have


• Strong Python (pandas, numpy, datetime)


• Experience working with APIs


• Ability to implement if/then logic and state-based systems


• Clean coding practices (Git, documentation)


• High attention to detail and operational discipline

Nice to Have


• Experience with financial or market data


• Basic understanding of derivatives or options (conceptual, not trading)


• Experience with automation, monitoring, or backend systems


• Background in fintech or data engineering

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary:


• MXN $25,000 gross per month (full-time)

Performance-Based Bonuses:


• Bonuses linked to technical milestones and system reliability


• Not linked to trading PnL
