Role Overview
We're hiring a mid-to senior level YouTube Content Strategist & Producer to build and run a high-volume founder-led YouTube channel for our B2B agency. The goal: establish authority in email/retention marketing, generate qualified inbound leads, and develop a long-term brand engine that supports future products and services.
This role owns the entire YouTube pipeline — research, scripting, filming, editing, publishing, performance tracking, and optimization — while collaborating closely with the founder (on-camera talent). You'll operate in person, in our office, to ensure consistent production and rapid iteration.
What You'll DoContent Strategy & Planning
- Build a channel strategy designed to attract ecommerce founders, operators, merketers, and B2B peers.
- Identify high-opportunity topics using competitive analysis, keyword research, market insights, and platform trends.
- Maintain an editorial calendar for long-form videos, shorts, series, and experiments.
- Develop repeatable video formats that align with lead generation and authority goals.
Production & Creative
- Write clear, concise scripts or outlines for the founder (in our voice and positioning).
- Direct filming sessions: set up shots, manage lighting/audio, and coach the founder for clarity and delivery.
- Shoot all footage using your own best practices for quality and speed.
- Edit long-form videos, shorts, repurposed clips, and graphics while maintaining a consistent brand style.
- Create thumbnails optimized for click-through rate (CTR).
Publishing & Optimization
- Upload and schedule content with SEO-driven titles, metadata, and descriptions.
- Manage playlists, tags, keyword strategy, and internal linking.
- Continuously improve titles, thumbnails, and hooks to increase retention and conversion.
- Run experiments (A/B tests, format tests, cadence tests) and report learnings.
Analytics & Performance
- Own metrics: retention, CTR, impressions, subscriber growth, lead attribution, and conversion indicators.
- Produce simple weekly performance reports with insights + next steps.
- Recommend and test new ideas based on data, not guesswork.
- Build a feedback loop to improve topic selection, thumbnails, and storytelling.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work directly with the founder daily to plan, film, and refine content.
- Build a lightweight, efficient content system so we can scale output (5–10 long-form videos/week + daily shorts).
- Operate like an internal creative studio — accountable for quality, consistency, and execution speed.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- 2–5 years of experience producing YouTube or social video content (ideally for B2B, creator-led, or founder-led channels).
- Strong scripting, storytelling, and editing skills.
- You understand YouTube deeply: analytics, retention curves, hooks, pacing, positioning, and growth levers.
- You can take a founder's raw ideas and turn them into polished content — fast.
- Comfortable running your own production, from lighting and audio to editing.
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Able to operate in person, in a fast-moving environment.
- Sharp communicator who's comfortable giving and receiving direct feedback.
- Bonus: SEO, thumbnail design, motion graphics, or background in marketing/ads.
Success Looks Like
- 5–10 long-form videos published weekly with stable or improving retention.
- Daily or near-daily shorts driving reach and subscriber growth.
- Clear upward trend in subscribers, leads, inbound calls, and brand visibility.
- Repeatable content workflows that don't rely on the founder for anything except showing up and speaking.
- A consistent brand voice and visual identity across every video.
- Documented learnings that guide our future content and product strategy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30, $40,000.00 per month
