The Role
This role exists to fix weak video thinking before production starts.
You are responsible for video concepts, narrative structure, and storyboards. You do not film. You do not edit. You do not manage projects. You think clearly and deliver direction that production teams can execute without confusion.
If your strength is storytelling, hooks, pacing, and viewer psychology, this role fits. If your strength is tools, cameras, or editing software, it does not.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop video concepts aligned to business and marketing goals
- Create clear, beat-by-beat storyboards for:
- Social media reels
- Short-form ads
- Brand videos and commercials
- Define:
- Strong hooks (first 3 seconds)
- Narrative flow (problem → tension → resolution)
- Intended emotion per scene
- Provide visual references for tone, pacing, and framing
- Deliver concepts that can be directly translated into shot lists
- Revise efficiently based on direct feedback
Non-Responsibilities (Read Carefully)
- No filming
- No editing
- No client communication
- No scheduling or production management
- No execution ownership
This is a pure upstream creative strategy role.
Mandatory Requirements
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Proven experience creating video concepts and storyboards
- Strong understanding of short-form video and attention economics
- Ability to explain why each shot and scene exists
- Clear written communication in English
- Ability to work independently and deliver consistently
Portfolio Requirement (Non-Negotiable)
Applicants must submit samples of video projects they concepted or storyboarded.
Samples should demonstrate:
- Narrative clarity
- Strong hooks
- Clear structure
- Business or marketing intent
No samples = no consideration.
Nice to Have
- Agency or production company background
- Experience working with U.S. brands
- Advertising or performance-driven content experience

- Minimal back-and-forth due to unclear direction
