To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Site.

The Automation Engineer role involves responsible for specifying, designing and maintaining automation equipment, tooling and applications as required to meet specifications.

What a typical day looks like:

• Design, engineer, and modify existing and new moderately complex automation equipment, tooling and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
• Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
• Understand the machine operating standards, on sequence of wear and tear parts and product defects.
• Ensure the uptime of machines through regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
• Should be willing to learn & enhance the skill in all type of Automation equipment.
• Should prepare why-why evaluation & drive for permanent corrective actions.
• Should be able to give feedback to improve the design of process and equipment.
• Directs daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.
• Coordinates maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.
• Collaborates and offers input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes for new products.
• Identifies and drives change to ensure automation effectiveness of existing processes.
• Demonstrates and thorough understanding of customer requirements, offer suggestions and ideas on how best to deliver automation solutions.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• BS degree in Engineering electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similar
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong experience in servo and encoder mechanisms
• Strong knowledge of SCARA, Industrial, collaborative robots, (Yamaha, Nachi, Fanuc, OMRON)
• Experience developing automated assembly cells.
• PLC Programming
• Programming in Python & C++.
• Manufacturing process concepts.
• SolidWorks management
• Strong knowledge of safety systems oriented to operator safety.
• knowledge in Electrical design, implementation and debugging for Automation development equipment, using Electrical design SW, such as: AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, others.
• knowledge in Pneumatic design, implementation and debugging for Automation development equipment.
• Knowledge in Automation-Maintenance and Engineering
• Valid US Visa and passport.
• Availability to travel
• Demonstrate capability to explain automation design guidelines and run workshops for dfA analysis.
• Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approach to critical assignments. 'Provides direction on large/critical projects.
• Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution.
• Interpretation and establishment of KPI and Operational Metrics for automation devices.
