Job Summary
If you are a supplier quality engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you Based in Guadalajara, MX, through collaborative relationships with the supplier & Emerson team you will ensure Emerson requirements are understood and are successfully met in the suppliers current process.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for ensuring supplier quality performance and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
- Leads engineering initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Develops and implements quality systems, conducts supplier audits, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
- Supports new product introduction and process validation while maintaining robust documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Influences supplier selection and qualification for critical components.
- Oversees manufacturing process improvements impacting cost, quality, and delivery.
Works with suppliers and internal teams to achieve strategic objectives and ensure operational excellence.
Who you are:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Provides technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and quality specialists. May lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate supplier improvement initiatives.
Interfaces with suppliers, internal engineering, operations, and executive leadership. Maintains strong external partnerships to ensure compliance and performance.
For this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in supplier quality and manufacturing engineering roles.
- Expertise in quality management systems, root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Preferred qualifications that set you a part:
Role requires occasional travel to supplier sites and manufacturing facilities. Must demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
