Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineering Manager located in Tijuana Otay.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the process engineering manager role involves Responsible for leading a team of process engineers working on improving process engineering capabilities in order to support a specific area of a manufacturing organization
What a typical day looks like:
- Proficient in cost management, talent development and departmental KPIs.
- Provide guidance and feedback to subordinate leaders to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain statistical process control systems.
- Establish and improve process capabilities
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Manage development projects that are designed to meet customer product specifications, delivery and cost expectations.
- Work with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
- Improve throughput in constrained areas.
- Develop, test and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and lead cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas.
- Partner with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
- Lead initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Experience managing operations & engineering in electronic manufacturing
- Knowledge of ISO 13485
- Master's degree preferred
- Six Sigma or Green Belt certifications required
- Intermediate to advanced English
- Knowledge of ultrasonic sealing, radio frequency, and thermoforming
- Ability to perform statistical analysis for experimental design
- Experience in medical product validation or product transfers to medical product production lines.
