Director, Site Lead - Mexico City

We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented leader to oversee the daily operations of our Mexico City site, currently housing approximately 100 employees. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall success of the Mexico City team, with a strong emphasis on sustaining and furthering our already positive and engaging office/site culture. You will also play a key role in developing strong leadership talent and supporting our global delivery model for a US tech giant.
As part of , you'll play a vital role in our scaled operations, managing a team of talented individuals from over 26 nationalities, including engineers, quality leads, project managers, managers, and senior managers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Mexico City site, ensuring alignment with the US tech giant's goals and objectives, while also championing company culture.
- Oversee all aspects of site operations, including budgeting, human resources, facilities, and IT, with a focus on creating an efficient and supportive work environment for a growing team.
- Build on and further enhance our positive, inclusive, and collaborative office/site culture that prioritizes employee engagement, development, and cultural integration within the broader and US tech giant teams. Employee engagement scores are currently very high, and we are looking for a leader to maintain this momentum.
- Manage a team of approximately 100 employees across various departments, with the expectation of growth. (Direct experience managing 100+ employees is preferred.)
- Interface with each team at least once a week, requiring presence in the office at least 3 times a week to cultivate strong relationships, cultural connections within the team, identify opportunities for leadership development, and stay connected to the evolving needs of a growing team.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize site performance and efficiency, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong leadership development within the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders globally, including those at the US tech giant, promoting a positive company culture both internally and externally.
- Manage relevant KPIs to ensure the Mexico City site is effectively supporting the global delivery model.
- Be accountable for site operations, site culture, and adherence to all applicable Mexican laws and regulations.
- (Optional) Leverage technical acumen within the technology sector to understand the broader technological landscape of the company (a plus, but not required).
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the technology sector and/or operations
- PMP or relevant certification required
- Exceptional communication skills in English are required. Spanish fluency is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully managing, motivating, and developing diverse teams while fostering a strong and positive office/site culture.
- Strong understanding of operational best practices and a commitment to creating a culture of efficiency, excellence, and strong leadership development.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership development, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and empowering team members to reach their full potential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a hybrid work environment is a plus.
- A passion for building on and nurturing a positive and inclusive office/site culture is essential.
