Our headquarters is in sunny Sydney, Australia, but our team spans the globe. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role, we're focusing on Mexico City, Mexico, so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

What You'd Be Doing In This Role

We're introducing the Mexico Content Lead role to ensure content is a core driver of Canva's country strategy. Content is one of Canva's most powerful growth and engagement levers, and in Mexico it needs to move fast, feel unmistakably local, and clearly communicate what Canva enables people to do.

As Mexico Content Lead you'll own the end-to-end content strategy for the country- from identifying cultural and product gaps, to producing and surfacing content at speed. You'll act as the senior local voice on content, partnering closely with the Country Manager and central teams to ensure content directly supports growth, frequency, and clarity.

At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On

• Owning the content strategy for Mexico, aligned to country growth priorities and deeply rooted in local culture, trends, and use cases.
• Driving end-to-end content production in Mexico — setting priorities, identifying gaps, and pushing fast execution through local creators and central teams, while maintaining a high quality bar.
• Proactively identifying content gaps across templates, formats, and use cases, and closing them quickly through focused, high-impact production bets.
• Partnering closely with country teams, as well as central teams (Content, SEO, and Marketing) to align on priorities and drive measurable impact.
• Ensuring local content performs strongly across in-product search, discovery, and SEO, maximising visibility of high-impact templates.
• Shaping editorial moments and homepage curation in partnership with the Country Manager and Marketing team to reinforce Canva's relevance in Mexico.
• Leading content licensing across Mexico, including signing new license agreements and executing bespoke content where required.
• Building and activating a high-performing local creator ecosystem that can move cultural moments and scale winning content themes.
• Using performance data, local insights, and stakeholder feedback to continuously refine content strategy.
• Managing and deploying the Mexico content budget in line with global priorities while tailoring investments to local needs.

You're probably a match if

• You bring senior experience leading content strategy in Mexico, with a proven track record of turning cultural insight into scaled content execution.
• You have a deep, forward-looking understanding of Mexican culture, aesthetics, and trends — and can spot what's next, not just what's popular now.
• You've led content strategy, partnerships, or editorial initiatives, ideally within tech, digital, or media environments.
• You have a strong bias to action, are comfortable making fast decisions, and thrive in high-velocity environments.
• You're a trusted strategic partner, able to translate business priorities into clear content bets and push back when content choices won't drive impact.
• You're data-driven, using performance insights to double down on what works and quickly stop what doesn't.
• You've successfully managed content budgets, partnerships, and production workflows, balancing speed, quality, and scale.
• You're passionate about empowering local creators and building thriving creative ecosystems.

About The Team
You'll be part of Canva's international content and localisation ecosystem, working closely with the Mexico Country team and global Content & Discovery partners to ensure Canva feels truly local, relevant, and impactful in Mexico.
