Where and how you can work

Our headquarters is in sunny Sydney, Australia, but our team spans the globe. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role, we're focusing on Mexico City, Mexico, so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Owning and executing the creative strategy for Mexico, driving locally resonant content across templates and elements.

  • Leading campaigns in collaboration with Marketing, SEO, and Community teams to deliver engaging and culturally relevant creative.

  • Mentoring local creatives and managing freelancers to elevate quality, consistency, and efficiency.

  • Conducting foundational cultural research and content audits to identify local opportunities and content gaps.

  • Partnering cross-functionally to power growth, SEO, and community efforts through high-impact content.

You're probably a match if

  • You're a culturally attuned design leader with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional content crafted for local audiences.

  • You've led creative teams or campaigns in fast-paced environments, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on design.

  • You enjoy mentoring creatives and championing inclusive, hyperlocal perspectives in content creation.

  • You love translating business strategy into creative vision, and know how to turn insights into powerful creative campaigns.

  • You have experience collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, SEO, and Product, and navigating priorities with clarity.

About the team

You'll join the International Content Team. Our mission is to build the most valuable and culturally relevant content library in the world. We collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver high-impact content that is deeply resonant with local audiences — and you'll be leading the charge for Mexico.
