About The Role

As an Associate Manager Tax, you are a member of the indirect tax team and will provide tax support to US, Canada and Puerto Rico activities. This role will cover all aspects of the indirect tax function and will involve working with other members of the indirect tax team. The Associate Manager Tax role works with other members of the indirect tax team to:

(1) Prepare and review indirect tax returns;

(2) Respond to requests from customers, vendors, internal partners and tax authorities;

(3) Identify any overpayments or underpayments of tax related to the operations of the various business units;

(4) Respond to notices, inquiries and other communications from tax authorities;

(5) Work with SAP and Tax reporting systems to assist with pulling information necessary for resolving issues and support of tax compliance and reporting activities; and

(6) Other projects or tasks as necessary to support the indirect tax function.

What You´ll Do

• Prepares and files monthly, quarterly, and year-end transaction tax returns, including gathering, analyzing and compiling tax data.
• Support tax audits by tax authorities by obtaining supporting documents as needed and requested by the indirect tax team member leading the tax audit.
• Work with the Accounts Payable team to address tax discrepancies which prevent the timely issuance of payments.
• Assist with tax reviews (reverse audits) of the various business units to identity and resolve any over or under payments of tax.
• Support preparation and submission of claims related to tax refunds
• Provide support of ongoing IT projects related to indirect taxes
• Provide any inputs needed by Finance and Controllership teams to accurately and timely reconcile tax accounts.
• Develop strong working knowledge of SAP and Tax reporting systems

Who You Are:

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically, 4+ years of related experience in accounting or tax.
• Knowledge and Skills:
• General knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of Excel and manipulation of data
• Knowledge of indirect tax concepts desirable
• Knowledge of tax and/or accounting software desirable.
