They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Job Requirements- Establishing the supplier sourcing strategy, identifying and managing the customer needs, and deciding the strategic suppliers accordingly to maintain the product footprint.
- Monitoring the negotiation of raw materials, preparing the RFQs in alignment with the supplier strategy, and assisting with make or buy analysis.
- Driving the teams for savings and spending reduction initiatives, improving material productivity, and ensuring compliance with the regulatory standards of the suppliers.
- Leading the optimization of supplier footprints, monitoring the supplier consolidation activities, and setting up the new suppliers in alignment with the strategy.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience performing functions into direct procurement area as Strategic Sourcing Analyst, Commodity or Category Management Specialist.
•Experience in Fasteners, Castings, and Machined Parts.
• Electronics Industry.
• Automotive industry (desirable).
• Strong analytical & negotiation skills
• Strategic mindset with strong communication and intercultural skills, ability to adaptandwork with team members in various countries / cultures
• Able to negotiate with key internal stakeholders as well as management team
• Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Officeapplications, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, andPower Point. Experience with MS Project as well as SharePoint is a plus.
• SAPknowledge a plus
• Valid US Visa is a must.
Travel: 10%-25%
Location: Hermosillo, Sonora.
