Plant Manager

Plant Manager Job Summary:

The Plant Manager oversees manufacturing operations across El Paso, TX and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, supporting IT server assembly, integration, and test operations. This role leads plant teams, ensures quality, safety, delivery, and cost targets are met, and drives alignment across both sites. The Plant Manager partners cross-functionally to support supply chain coordination, continuous improvement, and operational growth in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Plant Manager Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Operations Leadership

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations supporting IT server assembly, rack integration, system configuration, and test processes.

• Ensure production plans, customer delivery commitments, and quality targets are achieved across both sites.

• Align manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions between El Paso and Ciudad Juarez facilities.

• Manage capacity planning, labor allocation, and equipment utilization for high-mix, high-volume server manufacturing.

People Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop plant leadership teams including Production, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, Maintenance, and NPI.

• Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management across both sites.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain adherence to quality management systems, customer requirements, and internal/external audit standards.

• Drive corrective and preventive actions related to quality escapes, safety incidents, and operational risks.

Cross-Border & Supply Chain Coordination

• Lead cross-border operational alignment between U.S. and Mexico manufacturing and logistics teams.

• Partner with Supply Chain, Customs, and Logistics teams to ensure compliant and efficient material flow.

• Support coordination of NPI builds, engineering changes, and production ramp activities across both plants.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Management

• Lead Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across production and warehouse operations.

• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve throughput, and enhance quality and delivery performance.

• Monitor and drive KPls related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and inventory.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

• Support long-term operational planning, capacity expansion, and site development initiatives.

• Prepare and present operational performance updates to senior leadership.

Plant Manager Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.

• 8-10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in electronics, server, or high-tech manufacturing.

• Experience managing multi-site or cross-border manufacturing operations preferred.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of IT server manufacturing, integration, and test environments.

• Proven leadership and decision-making skills in fast-paced, high-volume operations.

• Experience with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing performance reporting.

• Strong communication and cross-cultural leadership skills.

• Ability to work effectively across U.S. and Mexico regulatory environments.

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing plant and office environments.

• Regular presence required at both El Paso and Ciudad Juarez facilities as company need dictates.

• Cross-border travel required.

Physical Demands:

• Combination of office-based and production floor activities.

• Ability to walk and stand on manufacturing floors as required.
